SAFEgaiter is developed as a protective system intended for operational environments. SAFEgaiter is specifically designed and manufactured for use by armed forces and law enforcement.
Under Article 2(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 (the PPE Regulation), the Regulation does not apply to personal protective equipment that is specifically designed and manufactured for use by the armed forces or in the maintenance of law and order. Such equipment is therefore not subject to CE marking requirements under the Regulation when supplied exclusively for those purposes.
